Come as you are (October)

Come As You Are

Luke 4:6-7 (AMP)

6 And he said to Him, To You I will give all this power and authority and their glory (all their magnificence, excellence, preeminence, dignity, and grace), for it has been turned over to me, and I give it to whomever I will. 7 Therefore if You will do homage to and worship me, it shall all be Yours.

The devil was giving Jesus a very good deal. All He had to do is worship the devil and all the power of the world was His; the devil tells us the same thing. He entices us with things he knows would get our attention, but once he gets us, we realize that it’s not as enticing as he made it out to be. We have to be careful to get caught up in the glitter of this life.

Jesus says, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.] – Mathew 11:28 (AMP).

Jesus tells us to rely on Him with everything and He will set order in our lives.

We can see a difference in the two; the devil entices with things to get us to follow him and Jesus asks us to give up ourselves and follow Him.

As you wake up, first thing that comes to your mind should be, “Lord, let your Will be done.” As He sets up your day, go forward in gladness in whatever happens. Pay attention to how He will work in every situation.
